Beyond Business

Welcome back to the Jackie Serviss show. In this episode, we’re going beyond business and getting a little vulnerable. Recently, a dear friend commented on how I tend to hide away during some of the inevitable tough moments that come with being an entrepreneur. Big fears, big shifts, and big emotions can trigger me into dimming my light and not showing up in the world until it feels safe again.

I've been reflecting on the words of one of the incredible coaches I work with. He broke fear down into three categories: fear of judgment, fear of failure and fear of success. These make perfect sense because walking the entrepreneurial path means shedding many layers to come closer and closer to our true expression. With each new layer, we feel vulnerable in all sorts of ways. As a former corporate head of HR turned executive coach turned recruiting agency owner with a spiritual side, I know this journey well.
