Separation Season in Hiring

Welcome back to the Jackie Serviss Show! In this episode, I’m diving into a concept that’s been on my mind a lot lately: Separation Season. This time of year, from American Thanksgiving through to New Year's, is when many people tend to ease up on their goals. It’s easy to fall into the cycle of thinking, “I’ll start fresh in January.” But I’ve come to realize this pause can actually be a powerful opportunity to get ahead.

I reflect on how this mindset applies to health, business, relationships, and especially hiring. Waiting until January to start recruiting for key roles can create a ripple effect that slows your momentum in the new year. With an average eight-week hiring process for executives, starting in Q4 allows you to onboard and integrate new talent sooner—giving your business a real edge as you enter 2025.

In this episode, I share my personal takeaways:

  • Why staying consistent through the holidays is a game-changer.
  • How starting the hiring process now can position you for success in the new year.
  • Why the holiday season can be the perfect time to attract top talent as people reflect on their careers.

I know firsthand that this is the season to press the gas while others are slowing down. If you’re ready to make 2025 your best year yet, tune in and let’s talk about how to keep moving forward when it matters most.
